Say NO! to Geocities Watermark and/or Popups

As if popups and obligatory banners on EVERY page weren't enough!!
You can send your displeasure about the watermark and/or popups
by filling out a GeoCities Comment Submission Form.

Newsflash! June 1999. Yahoo! took over GeoCities and the watermark appears to be gone. But there are promises that it will return in a NEW improved version. Yikes!

What is the watermark?

If you have Netscape 4 or MSIE 4, sadly, you already know. This is what it looked like first:

But GeoCities, in their wisdom, improved the watermark by making it an animated image! (and changing the size from 1.41kb to 3.30kb -I optimized it and got it down to 2.52kb, without changing its looks as far as I know) It only morphs once and then stays on the "g". This is what the watermark looks like now:
