December 6 (St. Nicholas Day)

 

This is the first letter in candy, coal (I certainly hope your shoes weren't filled with coal this year), and of course, charity

St. Nicholas was/is renowned for his generosity and charitable acts.

A recent report has stated that one in four households in Toronto is subsisting in poverty. Worldwide, the numbers are even more staggering. As we are preparing our feasts, let's emulate St. Nicholas and remember to feed the truly hungry as well:
